The Ramona wrap is a new crochet pattern with gorgeous, squishy texture. Read through to find out all the details!

Concept and Design

Typically, I like to design my triangle scarves from the top down working a slanted side, a chain space, then the second slanted side. The Ramona wrap is bit different; still worked from the top down but there is no chain space. This makes for a more rounded and sweeping third/middle corner. The Ramona wrap can easily be adjusted to any size working a 1 row repeat. This pattern is super versatile in that you can make it smaller as a triangle scarf, or larger into an oversized wrap/shawl.

The Ramona wrap is so plush and cozy! You will absolutely love making and wearing this wrap. It’s a great layering piece for the cold winter days/nights. Plus, the color combinations are endless. Whether you decide to stripe like I did, or make yours completely solid – it will definitely be a statement piece for any wardrobe!

Yarn

I found this yarn as I was aimlessly walking down the yarn aisles at Hobby Lobby. I tend to avoid bulky yarns, especially those that are fuzzy, “hairy,” or extra textured/loopy. However, when I saw these sitting on the shelves near each other, I thought they would make for a really beautiful design together. Both yarns are very soft and plush feeling, and come in a variety of different colors. The Yarn Bee Romantique is fuzzy and the Antoinette yarn is made up of several tiny loops. Weaving in ends can be a little tricky since both yarns are extra textured but the end result is worth it.

As always, you can substitute with any #5 bulky weight yarn in the colors of your choosing.

Materials Needed

  • Any bulky (#5) weight yarn will work for this project. I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Romantique in Ivory (4 skeins, approximately 290 yards) and Yarn Bee Antoinette in Spot of Tea (6 skeins, approximately 325 yards). 
  • US size 7 mm hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch marker
