Crochet Pattern Review: Stratus Beanie

Posted by Kara

I had the pleasure of pattern testing Amy Hanna’s aka AboveTheCloudsCrochet new crochet hat, the Stratus Beanie. Read on for more details!

Stratus Beanie Review

I love all of Amy’s designs because she uses such vibrant colors and each project has tons of texture. This beanie definitely has all of that plus her pattern is very easy to read and follow along. BONUS:  Amy also designed a matching cowl that you can purchase as a bundle. Keep scrolling for the links!

The Stratus Beanie crochet pattern includes 3 sizes: Toddler, Child, and Adult. I made a child sized hat to fit my daughter. I used I Love this Yarn from Hobby Lobby in Turquoise and Mixed Berry. They worked up super fast in just a few hours each. I was tempted to make her a third because you can never have too many hats!! The beanie is worked from the bottom up first flat to make the ribbing then in the round to finish the hat body. The texture is so pretty and a faux fur pom pom really adds a nice touch! The hat is fitted just right – not too tight but not slouchy either. Madison will be getting a of use out of them come Winter!

I really enjoyed testing this pattern for Amy. If you are looking for quick and easy hat pattern to gift or sell for the Fall/Winter, or just want a fun new piece for your own wardrobe than I highly recommend this pattern!
