Verity Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

Verity Baby Blanket

The Verity baby blanket is a new crochet pattern that features a fun diamond / geometric design. Read through to find out all the details!

Concept and Design

The Verity baby blanket is worked up in single crochet using bulky weight yarn in a geometric diamond design. The pattern includes 2 graphs and written instructions walking you through the color changes. I love that simple stitches and a little bit of color work can produce such a modern and beautiful blanket. If you have never done any colorwork projects, this would be a great project to challenge yourself. You can buy extra skeins of yarn or use bobbins to make your color changes easier.

This Verity baby blanket is an intermediate project because of the colorwork and foundation single crochet to start. To make it easier, I added alternate instructions in case you wanted to use a traditional foundation chain. Also, you can carry your unused yarn rather than dropping it if you prefer. Purchase includes a separate PDF with Crochet Color Work Tips.

If you love color work projects, I have several more in my shop!

Yarn

I love Hobby Lobby’s Soft & Sleek line of yarns – they carry it in dk, worsted/aran, and bulky versions. For the Verity baby blanket, I used the bulky version. It makes for such a soft, squishy, and plush blanket. I made this blanket for a family member’s friend who was having a baby, and she chose Blush and Ivory to match the nursery décor. I think the colors went beautifully together and couldn’t have picked better myself! I really enjoyed working with yarn and am plan to use my leftovers on a beanie design 😊
