The Henley scarf is a new crochet pattern that has tons of beautiful texture. Read through to find out all the details!
Concept and Design
I love any and all texture in my crochet projects. I have always loved the look of the Alpine stitch but never took the time to learn it until a few months ago. It creates the most gorgeous texture that is very simple to learn. The Alpine stitch is perfect for so many projects – a hat, pillow, blanket, etc. So, be on the lookout for more patterns from me using this stitch!
The Henley scarf is easily customizable using a 4 row repeat. It would look amazing in any color combo, variegated, or solid colored yarn. The PDF pattern includes a step-by-step photo tutorial to help you, and there are several great video tutorials available on the internet.
Yarn
I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Tweed Indeed yarn in Confetti and Grape Tweed. The colors available in this line are really pretty. Confetti is an off-white color with rainbow tweed specs that makes this scarf really fun. It is also incredibly soft! I had plenty of Grape Tweed left if you decide to add some fringe.
Any worsted (#4) weight yarn of your choosing will work for this scarf.
Materials Needed
- Any worsted (#4) weight yarn, approximately 540 yards. I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Tweed Indeed yarn in Confetti (3 skeins, or 405 yards) and Grape Tweed (1 skein, or 135 yards).
- US size H (5 mm) hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
